Our lead timber designers hold master’s degrees in Timber Frame Technology from Germany, and are vastly experienced with every aspect of their trade. They have successfully executed the design, fabrication, delivery and installation of 1 million+ board foot commercial jobs, and are leading experts in designing complex heavy timber structures, commercial CLT (cross-laminated timber) projects and large scale residential developments, to name a few. Our team of talented draftsmen provide fast turnaround on drawings, revisions and up-to-date estimating.
Software Systems
RMJC exclusively uses HSB Architectural Desktop, the industry’s leading timber frame-specific software. The AutoCAD-based HSB design platform converts architectural designs into production files that interface directly with our CNC machinery. HSB Architectural Desktop is compatible with all major design software, including Revvit, Dietrichs, CADWorks, Sketchup, Sema, SolidWorks and ArchiCAD, to name a few. Acceptable file formats include .DWG, .DXF, .DWFX, .EPS, .SAT, .IFC, .PDF and .SKP.
One-Stop Design Resource
Working hand-in-hand with architects, retailers and developers, our team creates detailed estimates, customized shop drawings and engineering approvals. The team is always on hand to provide dedicated customer support and technical assistance for active projects. RMJC’s team can design a project entirely from conceptual sketch, or can modify/enhance existing architectural designs in any format. Design fees are included in RMJC’s pricing structure, and discounts are given for plans received in CAD format.
